Wood is seeking a Principal Technical Safety Engineer for its Malaysia team, on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, to work on major offshore redevelopment and asset life extension projects in partnership with a leading Oil & Gas client.

The role focuses on leading Process Safety, fire protection and risk assessment activities across FEED and EPC/EPCM phases, with senior leadership responsibilities and a strong emphasis on safety culture and client engagement.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering from a recognised institution.
• 15+ years of relevant Oil & Gas experience.
• Experience across Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC/EPCM projects (greenfield and brownfield).
• Process safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, QRA, PCS, Safety Case).
• Firewater systems, fire & gas, firefighting and passive fire protection design.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical safety leadership through the project lifecycle (feasibility to EPC/EPCM).
• Lead and facilitate process safety studies and risk assessments.
• Mentor and develop Process Safety personnel and support technical capability growth.
• Support proposals, estimates and client engagement while aligning with standards and regulatory requirements.
