Job summary

Wood is seeking expressions of interest for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Malaysia team, supporting a major Oil & Gas FEED phase project for the Middle East. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract commencing in December 2026 and based in Kuala Lumpur.

You will work on greenfield and brownfield developments, enabling asset integrity, life extension and value-led engineering across the project. Malaysian citizens or permanent residents are preferred for this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Must hold legal working rights in Malaysia as a Malaysian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience in offshore oil & gas mechanical engineering design.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Discipline Manager, join a dedicated project team and deliver high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.
• Balance technical excellence, client expectations and project delivery across mature offshore facilities.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, HazIDs and LOPA studies as a mechanical engineering representative.
