Job summary

Lumileds International in Penang seeks a Senior Technical Project Lead to oversee the development life cycle for automotive and non-automotive LED projects. You will define and manage product development programs from concept through design, prototyping, and release, while coordinating global R&D and product marketing efforts.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams of engineers and technicians across disciplines, ensuring timely launches, yield stabilization, and compliance with safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
• Minimum five years of engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, preferably LED.
• Experience with Automotive product development process/methodology (APQP).
• Strong hands-on experience with DOE, SPC, Process Flow, Control Plan and FMEA.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, plan and execute product development programs across Automotive and Non-Automotive sectors.
• Support worldwide R&D, TSM and Product Marketing on roadmaps and new products.
• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and technicians across disciplines.
• Ramp new products to high volume after release and stabilize yields.
• Apply automotive manufacturing process development knowledge and document types.
• Ensure compliance with environment, security, health and safety requirements.
