Job summary

Lumileds International in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer to lead installation, qualification, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production operations.

The role drives root cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance, and collaborates with Quality, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Suppliers to improve equipment reliability, throughput and process capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
• Initiative and able to work under minimum supervision.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, qualification, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Drive root cause analysis and troubleshooting for downtime.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Suppliers.
• Improve equipment reliability, throughput and process capability.
• Track MTBA/MTBF and identify bottlenecks for OEE improvements.
