Beicip Technology Solutions seeks a Senior Technical Data Manager to organize, secure, and maintain critical Oil & Gas data across subsurface and project datasets. You will collaborate with Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering, and IT to optimize workflows, enable data-driven decisions, and support AI/ML initiatives from the data foundation upward.
The role requires expertise in data platforms, data governance, and secure storage solutions, with a focus on scalable architectures and compliant data
The Senior Technical Data Management plays a critical role in organizing, securing, and maintaining technical data to support high-impact petroleum exploration and production projects, not limited to subsurface data management. This position ensures data integrity, accessibility, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle while promoting efficient data governance, storage, transfer, and visualization. The Associate collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering, and IT to optimize workflows, support data-driven decision-making across BFA, and contribute to AI/ML initiatives from the data foundation upward. Working knowledge of modern data platforms is expected as the technical data environment matures.
Lead the organization, classification, storage, maintenance, and lifecycle management of technical and project data across approved platforms, including Synology NAS, cloud environments, databases, and other enterprise storage solutions.
Establish and maintain structured data architecture, folder structures, naming conventions, metadata standards, and access protocols across projects.
Oversee the ingestion, validation, organization, and quality control of complex geoscientific and engineering datasets, including 2D/3D seismic data, SEGY files, well logs, deviation surveys, interpretation outputs, reservoir models, production data, and other technical datasets.
Ensure appropriate user-access controls, confidentiality measures, and information-security requirements are implemented and periodically reviewed.
Conduct technical data audits and resolve data inconsistencies, duplication, integrity issues, security vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
Lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of technical data backup and recovery procedures.
Establish and maintain centralized technical data inventories, registers, data catalogues, version-control mechanisms, and data-lineage records.
Define and enforce technical data governance standards covering data ownership, classification, retention, access, transfer, archival, and disposal.
Lead and coordinate secure and timely technical data transfers between BFA, clients, partners, consultants, and third-party vendors.
Provide technical input into the design, enhancement, and implementation of scalable and secure technical data storage and management infrastructure.
