Job summary

The Senior Reservoir Engineer at PTTEP JDX & PC JDA Joint Operations Sdn Bhd (PPJO) leads reservoir performance optimization and production enhancement for the A-18 block, supporting integrated development planning to maximize value.

The role requires deep expertise in reservoir engineering and simulation, with hands-on experience in TNav, Petrel, Eclipse and production forecasting, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver credible reserves assessments under SPE-PRMS standards.

Qualifications

• Honor Degree or BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Reservoir Engineering or Geoscience.
• More than 12 years of experience in relevant Petroleum & Reservoir Engineering and/or Geoscience disciplines.
• Strong technical expertise in reservoir engineering and simulation.
• Extensive experience with reservoir modelling and production forecasting.
• Well verse in reserves assessment and meet industry standards, particularly SPE-PRMS for shareholders and MTJA reserves reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute reservoir and production engineering activities to ensure optimal field performance.
• Analyze and diagnose reservoir and well performance, identifying opportunities to enhance production and improve recovery.
• Develop, maintain, and update dynamic reservoir simulation models (preferred software: TNav), including:
• History matching (field performance and network – system pressure)
• Production forecasting for both brownfield and greenfield developments
• Field Development Plan (FDP) maturation and sensitivity studies
• Integrated and standalone network modeling (stand alone and coupled models)
• Perform reserves estimation, classification, and reporting in compliance with SPE-PRMS standards.
• Support integrated development planning by coordinating and involving with:
• Appraisal and risk assessment
• Quality control of coupled models for Work Program & Budget (WP&B)

The Senior Reservoir Engineer is required to support operations for JDA Block A-18 with main key role in managing reservoir performance, optimizing production and supporting integrated development planning to maximize asset value.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute reservoir and production engineering activities to ensure optimal field performance.

Analyze and diagnose reservoir and well performance, identifying opportunities to enhance production and improve recovery.
