Job summary

EP Engineering in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an IT & Data Management Executive to manage exploration data and documents such as well and seismic data, maps, samples, and technical reports. You will establish and maintain GIS-based databases and support technical document control.

You will also manage IT software for the exploration team, perform mapping and basic data analysis, and help staff prepare exploration-related documents for submission to authorities and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience with data management and GIS is preferred.
• Comfort with handling technical reports and datasets.

Responsibilities

• Manage exploration data and documents (well/seismic data, maps, samples, technical reports).
• Establish and maintain exploration database and GIS-based database.
• Support IT software so exploration team can use them effectively.
• Conduct mapping, drawing, and simple data analysis to support exploration activities.
• Assist staff in preparing exploration documents (well proposals, drilling plans).
• Support submission of datasets to authorities and partners.

• Manage exploration related data and documents, e.g., well and seismic data, maps, sample, and technical report etc. Establish and maintain exploration database, GIS-based database and technical document control.
• Manage and support technical IT software so that exploration team can use them effectively.
• Conduct mapping, drawing, and simple data analysis to support exploration activities.
• Support exploration staff to prepare exploration related documets, such as well proposal, drilling plan, and others.
• Conduct other necessary document/data management and IT related works in accordance with exploration activities.
• Support exploration staff to prepare and submit required technical dataset to Authority and Joint venture partners.
• Support exploration staff to prepare dataset to share with company and to share with potential partners and/or 3rd parties if needed.
