Beicip Technology Solutions seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee upstream oil and gas consulting projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
You will provide strategic governance and operational direction across exploration studies, field development planning, reservoir characterization, and integrated subsurface evaluations.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of upstream oil and gas consulting projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, contractual commitments, and organizational standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary technical teams, clients, and senior stakeholders, the role provides strategic oversight of project execution, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Projects may include exploration studies, field development planning, reservoir characterization, integrated subsurface evaluations, multi-client technical studies, and emerging energy initiatives such as CCS, geothermal, and other subsurface energy solutions.
Lead the planning and execution of complex consulting projects across upstream oil and gas and related energy sectors.
Oversee project delivery to ensure alignment with agreed scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality standards.
Provide leadership and direction to project teams to ensure efficient execution and successful project outcomes.
Define project execution strategies, delivery frameworks, and resource allocation in collaboration with technical and management teams.
Ensure effective coordination of multidisciplinary technical workflows including geoscience, reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering, and data disciplines.
Serve as the senior interface with clients and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead project reviews, technical workshops, and client presentations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project success and long-term collaboration.
Oversee project scope management, timelines, and resource planning across assigned projects.
Ensure efficient utilization of technical resources while maintaining high-quality project delivery.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure project activities comply with contractual requirements, internal governance standards, and organizational procedures.
Review project progress, performance metrics, and deliverables to ensure alignment with management expectations.
Provide regular project updates and strategic insights to senior management.
Identify and manage strategic risks that may impact project delivery, timelines, or client satisfaction.
Provide guidance to project teams in resolving operational, technical, or coordination challenges.
Escalate significant issues to senior leadership where appropriate.
Monitor project financial performance including budgets, revenue milestones, and cost management.
Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with commercial agreements and financial targets.
Support financial tracking and reporting for project portfolio performance.
Support the development of technical proposals, consulting scopes, and project execution strategies.
Contribute to client engagement initiatives, bid discussions, and business development activities.
Identify opportunities for follow-on projects and expanded consulting services.
Represent the organization in client engagements, technical discussions, and relevant industry forums.
Contribute to strengthening the organization’s reputation in the energy consulting sector.
Participate in special committees, task forces, and cross-departmental initiatives as assigned.
Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in contributing to organizational goals.
Support ESG, HSE, or CSR initiatives and adhere to company policies.
Undertake any other related tasks assigned to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in upstream oil & gas, energy, or technical consulting.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technical projects.
Strong experience in project planning, scope, schedule, budget, resource, risk, and delivery management.
Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage senior client/stakeholder relationships.
Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
15+ years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a project leadership/management role.
Experience managing large-scale or complex subsurface consulting projects.
Strong understanding of geoscience, reservoir engineering, field development, and integrated subsurface workflows.
Experience with commercial management, project financials, proposals, and business development.
Experience working with international clients and multidisciplinary teams.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
Previous experience in an energy consulting company or technical consultancy.
Exposure to CCS, geothermal, carbon management, or other emerging energy projects.
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant technical or management discipline.
Experience supporting tenders, proposals, client workshops, and industry engagements.
