Job summary

Nigel Frank International is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to design, develop, customize, and deploy Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions for enterprise-scale transformations. The role emphasizes hands-on X++ development, integration design, and mentoring of junior staff, with opportunities to lead technical discussions and drive governance across delivery streams.

Qualifications

Job description

My client is a leading global Microsoft partner delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation projects across Dynamics 365, Azure, and the Power Platform ecosystem.

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will play a key role in the design, development, customization, and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, and client stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions for complex business requirements.

This role is ideal for a hands-on D365 F&O expert with deep X++ development experience who also possesses broad knowledge across the wider Microsoft technology stack, including Azure integrations, Power Platform, Dataverse, and modern application architecture.

Core responsibilities:

Dynamics 365 F&O Development

• Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Build and enhance functionality using X++ and Microsoft's extension framework.
• Develop forms, classes, batch jobs, services, SSRS reports, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, test, and production environments.

Integrations & Technical Design

• Design and develop integrations between D365 F&O and external systems.
• Work with Azure integration technologies including:
• Logic Apps
• Service Bus
• API Management
• Develop and consume REST APIs, OData services, and custom endpoints.
• Support data migration activities using Data Management Framework (DMF) and Data Entities.
• Contribute to technical solution design and architecture discussions.

Microsoft Ecosystem & Modern Solutions

• Support integrations between D365 F&O, Dataverse, and Power Platform.
• Work with:
• Power Apps
• Power Automate
• Dataverse
• Participate in modernization and automation initiatives leveraging Microsoft's cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with functional teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in workshops, design sessions, and client-facing discussions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior consultants and developers.
• Contribute to solution estimations, technical documentation, and delivery governance.

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
