Responsibilities

• Provide daily application support and maintenance for manufacturing systems (MES, MOM, EAP, WMS).

• Investigate production system issues, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support, maintain and enhance our manufacturing applications, particularly Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related production systems.

The successful candidate will serve as the key technical liaison between local manufacturing operations, China HQ's development team and external vendors to ensure system stability, effective issue resolution and continuous improvement.

This role requires hands-on experience in application support, SQL databases and software development using .NET or Java.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing Systems Support

• Provide daily application support and maintenance for manufacturing systems, including MOM, MES, EAP and WMS.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot application issues and ensure system availability.
• Coordinate system upgrades, testing, verification and deployment activities.

2. Incident Management & Troubleshooting

• Investigate production system issues, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage support tickets according to service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Escalate critical incidents promptly and coordinate resolution with China HQ and relevant stakeholders.

3. Application Development & Enhancement

• Develop and maintain basic reports, data queries and minor application enhancements.
• Support system troubleshooting and development activities using .NET or Java.
• Perform SQL queries, data validation and reconciliation to support operational requirements.

4. System Integration & User Requirements

• Work closely with production teams, China HQ developers and external vendors on system-related matters.
• Gather and analyse user requirements, distinguishing between system defects and enhancement requests.
• Maintain requirement logs and follow up on implementation progress.

5. Testing & Documentation

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system verification and implementation activities.
• Maintain technical documentation, issue logs, testing records and system support knowledge bases.
• Identify potential system risks and recommend improvements.

6. User Training & Continuous Improvement

• Support end-user training and prepare relevant training materials.
• Guide key users in conducting basic system testing.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, efficiency and user experience.

Job Requirements

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

• Experience supporting enterprise or manufacturing applications, such as MES, MOM, EAP, WMS, ERP or related systems.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of .NET or Java, with the ability to support minor application development, report generation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of application support, incident management, system testing and UAT.
• Familiarity with defect classification, requirement management and system acceptance processes is an advantage.
• Manufacturing systems experience is strongly preferred.
