Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking an MES specialist to bridge shop floor operations with corporate IT, ensuring reliable MES performance and data integrity.

The role focuses on diagnosing MES issues, developing enhancements, and delivering reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL databases, while aligning with OPC/ODBC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
• 2–3 years of experience with IT systems, preferably MES.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience in reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI or SSRS.
• Proficiency in programming languages: C++, Java, and SQL.
• Familiarity with data collection, system integration, and communication protocols (OPC, ODBC, Web services).
• Experience with process automation solutions is an advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC application programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical expert for the MES, bridging communication between the site and corporate IT teams.
• Provide technical expertise, maintenance, and guidance to ensure the efficient operation of the MES system on the shop floor.
• Investigate and analyze MES-related issues on production lines, diagnosing root causes and developing effective solutions.
• Develop and implement MES enhancements to optimize manufacturing processes and system performance.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support stakeholders' analytics and decision-making needs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data collection, integration, and collaboration (OPC, ODBC, Web services, relational databases, etc.).
• Collaborate with automation, IT, and production teams to ensure seamless MES integration with shop floor equipment and enterprise systems.

• Experience in reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, and SQL.
• Familiarity with industry standards for data collection, system integration, and communication protocols (e.g., OPC, ODBC, Web services).
• Experience with process automation solutions is an advantage.
