Job summary

Russell Tobin in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to manage and optimize our enterprise storage infrastructure. You will work hands-on with Dell EMC PowerMax, PowerScale, and Pure Storage FlashArray, ensuring high availability and performance across VMware environments.

The role involves storage provisioning, migrations with minimal downtime, replication and DR setup, and SAN management using Cisco MDS switches.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
5+ years of experience in enterprise storage administration.
Hands-on with Dell PowerMax/PowerScale and Pure Storage FlashArray.
Familiar with VMware, Solaris, AIX and IBM AS400 platforms.
Knowledge of VLANs, routing, firewall rules and DWDM.

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and support Dell PowerMax, PowerScale, and Pure Storage environments.
Perform storage provisioning, capacity management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Plan and execute storage migrations with minimal downtime.
Configure and monitor storage replication and disaster recovery solutions.
Manage Cisco MDS SAN switches, including zoning, firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Support storage integration with VMware, Solaris, AIX, and IBM AS400 environments.
Prepare SOPs, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
Support incident, change, and problem management processes.
