Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Ipoh to implement and manage enterprise-grade infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will lead complex projects, including cloud migrations and capacity planning, while optimizing NetApp and Pure storage and VMware platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of infra experience, strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash), and deep knowledge of Dell hardware, SAN, and networking.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and systems administration.
• Expert-level knowledge of Dell server hardware and management tools (iDRAC, OpenManage).
• Extensive experience with NetApp storage systems (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI).
• Advanced proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Profound AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
• Solid understanding of networking, SAN, Windows and Linux administration.
• Experience leading complex infrastructure projects and mentoring juniors.
• Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, AD, and SCCM; able to troubleshoot third-party apps.

Responsibilities

• Implement, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure services: compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Lead complex infrastructure projects: cloud migrations, upgrades, capacity planning.
• Administer and optimize NetApp and Pure storage for high availability and performance.
• Administer VMware environments: ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual networking, lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with network, security, and applications teams for seamless integration.
• Develop infrastructure automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and cloud-native tools.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Provide Tier 3 support and mentorship to junior engineers within the global team.
• Document infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures; participate in DR planning.
