Job summary

Nexperia in Malaysia is seeking an experienced test engineer to own, sustain and optimize automated testing platforms (Cohu SH5300A and FH1200). You will develop PM schedules, perform rapid root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to maximize throughput and yield.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical and electronics engineering, 5+ years in test, and proficiency with scopes, meters and languages like Python, C++, or LabVIEW.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical and electronics engineering from a recognized university.
• 5+ years working experience in test and experienced with strip handler or prober.
• Proficiency with testing instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters) and programming languages like Python, C++, or LabVIEW.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics, perform statistical data analysis, and conduct failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Owns, sustains, and optimizes automated testing platforms to maximize uptime and efficiency.
• Develop, execute, and improve PM schedules to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifecycle.
• Perform rapid root-cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, servo, pneumatic, and motion-control failures.
• Ensure calibration services meet industry tolerance standards for strip handlers and testing instrumentation.
• Support setup, qualification, and production release of new equipment and customized factory hardware.
• Collaborate with process and product engineering to optimize kinematics and test handling for throughput and yield.
• Engage with vendors on equipment designs, spare parts sourcing, and technical issue resolution.
• Enforce strict PPE, LOTO, and electrical safety standards in the workplace.
