Job summary

ams OSRAM Group is recruiting for a Senior Staff Engineer in Thermal Process Engineering to troubleshoot daily line issues and support production ramping. The role requires hands-on DOE experience, lineup of unit processes for new transfers, and close collaboration with Manufacturing, Process Integration, and Reliability teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in semiconductor unit processes, data analysis, and mentoring of engineers, with a proven track record in process change

Qualifications

• Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/ Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics Engineering / Physics or equivalent. Master’s degree adds advantage.
• At least 5 years of in-depth knowledge of characterization methodology on semiconductor manufacturing unit processes materials and equipment engineering.
• Experience in Design of Experiment (DOE) is an advantage.
• Must be a self-starter who can work both independently and in groups.
• Able to organize and coordinate multiple projects in a timely manner.
• Able to perform thorough data analysis to derive technical conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily line issue troubleshooting, process engineering and production support for Thermal process
• Work as a team with Manufacturing team to resolve production issues and reduce production line interruption
• Responsible for setup of unit process for new transfer technologies to ensure successful qualification, yield learning and production ramp.
• Lead FMEA, risk assessment of process changes, with proper process change management
• Ensure the robustness of processes with Advance Process Control (APC)
• Manage and Setup recipe and procedural control.
• Assessment of process changes and process change management
• Deviation management (effective/timely analysis of deviations)
• Design & execute experiments and perform proper analysis & documentation on the results.
• Work with Process Integration for the Design of Experiments and analyse end results for device design.
• Interface between business units, process engineering, process integration, reliability engineering and production
• Interact and communicate effectively in cross functional teams.
• Provides mentorship and guidance to senior engineers and junior engineers
