Job summary

ams OSRAM is seeking a Frontend Process Development Senior Staff Engineer (Electrical Optical Testing) to drive new probing processes from development to manufacturability. You will work on equipment setup, process window design, and tool standardization for wafer handling and processability.

The role requires a Master degree or higher, 8–10 years in semiconductor/LED, strong knowledge of APC, FMEA, DOE and six sigma, and fluency in English and Malay.

Qualifications

• Master Degree and/or Advanced Professional licensing in a relevant field.
• 8–10 years of experience in Semiconductor/ LED.
• Professional knowledge in Semiconductor/ LED, APC, Project management, FMEA, Statistics, DOE and 6 sigma Green Belt.
• Proficient in English and Malay languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop new probing (Electrical, Optical) processes up to manufacturability with strong process/equipment interaction.
• Lead new equipment and process setup; design robust tools and process window; standardize tool config for wafers handling.
• Lead tools comparison; decide long-term Tool and Process strategy.
• Support Product Transfer on Process transfer and release to Production.
• Collaborate with Production to setup Tool-to-tool matching, process window studies, and online monitoring.

Your new responsibilities

• Key task is development of new process in Probing (Electrical, Optical) until manufacturability with Strong understanding of the interactions between process and equipment.
• Main development role on new equipment and process setup, design the robust tool and process window and control, standardization tool config for wafers handling and processability.
• Lead Tools comparison and able to decide long term Tool and Process strategy.
• Support Product Transfer team on Process to transfer and release in Production.
• Work with Production team to set up Tool to tool Matching, Process Window study, Online Process monitoring and Fault Detection. Setup overlay monitoring on pre-process with feedback loop.
• Work with Chip Design team on mask design and drawing, including set-up the rule, processes for new product introduction.
• Work closely with Regensburg Process Engineering (Process Development) counterparts to achieve fast and
  reliable process transfers for Performance improvement and cost saving.

What we look for

• Master Degree and/or Advanced Professional licensing (B.Sc, Ph.D B.Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering or similar field).
• Fairly extensive – 8 to 10 years (Semiconductor, LED).
• Professional Knowledge in Semiconductor/ LED, APC, Project management skills, FMEA, Statistics, DOE and 6 sigma Green Belt.
• Proficient in English and Malay languages.
