Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia seeks a lead maintenance technician for Surface Treatment to drive timely and thorough equipment maintenance. You will ensure parts availability, supervise maintenance activities, and manage the team to maximize uptime and minimize costs.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with 3–6 years in semiconductor backend assembly, especially plating equipment. Strong analytical, leadership and reporting skills are essential for driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, and other semiconductor related areas).
• 3 to 6 years’ experience in semiconductor backend assembly and preferable with plating equipment experiences.
• Knowledge in plating equipment operations (Advance-level).
• Good analytical skills: SPC, JMP, DOE. Problem solving skills: FMEA, 8D, DMAIC.
• Interpersonal, leadership, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Technical Report Writing.
• Basic Reliability/FA knowledge.
• Understanding of OEE, MTBA.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of maintenance technicians to execute equipment maintenance timely and comprehensively.
• Ensure availability of machine critical parts and tooling parts to support production which will impact OEE and delivery.
• Manage Surface Treatment equipment maintenance systematically, actual maintenance activities and the maintenance personnel to achieve best equipment efficiency and maintenance cost.
• Lead improvement projects related to quality, yield and OEE.
• Drive a culture based on maintenance routines and engineering solutions using training, systematic troubleshooting and root cause corrective actions.
• Establish and/or modify setup, conversion and troubleshooting guides to ensure all equipment have reliable machine uptime.
• Investigate and implement countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns.
• Train the technical team in define competency model and follow through on the technical level certification.
