DKSH Malaysia invites a Senior Specialist, Technical Sales – Scientific Instrumentation to expand our footprint in the Technology unit. You will identify market opportunities, acquire new customers, manage key relationships, and drive revenue growth through strategic prospecting and engagement.

With 4–5 years in analytical chemistry or life sciences sales, you will coordinate tenders, monitor competition, and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
• 4–5 years of sales experience in analytical chemistry, life science, or material science.
• Proven ability to acquire new customers and manage ongoing relationships.

The Senior Specialist, Technical Sales – Scientific Instrumentation plays a pivotal role in expanding DKSH's commercial footprint within the Technology business unit in Malaysia. This position delivers growth through strategic customer acquisition, disciplined relationship management, and sharp market intelligence, ensuring every sales effort is aligned with DKSH's broader business objectives.

What You Will Deliver

Identify and capture arising market opportunities to grow DKSH's presence across the scientific instrumentation sector

Acquire new customers and generate leads through targeted prospecting, business development, and regular customer engagement

Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers, maintaining positive and productive interactions that support long-term partnership and revenue retention

Develop new business by actively sourcing new accounts and identifying incremental opportunities within the existing customer base

Secure customer sales orders and take ownership of the full execution cycle through to successful payment collection

Gather competitive intelligence from customers and the broader market, and communicate actionable insights to management to guide commercial strategy

Coordinate and support the preparation and timely submission of tenders, ensuring all requirements are met with accuracy and attention to detail

Develop and execute plans to achieve annual personal sales targets in alignment with company strategies

Monitor competitor pricing, activities, and strategies, and contribute findings to support market positioning and business planning

Organize and lead customer engagement events, including seminars and technical workshops, to deepen client relationships and enhance DKSH's visibility in the market

Contribute to team efforts across group projects and broader market communication activities

Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification

Minimum 4 to 5 years of sales experience in the analytical chemistry, life science, or material science industry

Demonstrated capability in new customer acquisition and sustained management of commercial relationships

Strong skills in gathering, interpreting, and communicating competitive and market intelligence

Experience supporting or coordinating tender preparation and submission processes

Effective communicator with the ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders confidently and professionally at all levels
