Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is seeking a Supply Planner to schedule FG build plans, optimize line loading and delivery performance, and manage inventory to meet objectives. The role spans build plan scheduling, BOM coordination, and proactive issue management with cross-functional teams.

You will support ramp-ups, material setup, and conduct monthly inventory reviews while ensuring accurate BOMs and timely communications with project leaders and QA/Engineering for disposition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply planning, production scheduling or related roles.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and understanding of production constraints.
• With at least 2 years of planning experience.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning tools and ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Ability to manage cross-functional coordination.
• Proactive problem-solving and escalation handling.
• Knowledge of inventory control and production scheduling.
• Good English language is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bin-level planning to match customer requirements with WIP and build plans.
• Ensure capacity availability for ramp-ups; coordinate with IE on product mix.
• Support engineering and customer sample builds.

• Conduct monthly inventory reviews and define corrective actions.
• Review fallout inventory and schedule production for retest.
• Follow up on blocked & RM A stock with Quality and Engineering teams for disposition.

The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

Position Summary

Supply Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling Finished Goods (FG) build plans by optimizing line loading, improving FG commitment and delivery performance, and managing inventory to meet company objectives. The role also involves participation in business process optimization projects.

A. Build Plan Scheduling

• 1. Prepare and review weekly build plans based on planning forecasts and customer orders, factoring in capacity, loading matrix, and inventory checks.
• 2. Perform bin-level planning to match customer requirements with WIP and build plans.
• 3. Ensure capacity availability for product ramp-up, collaborate with Industrial Engineering on capacity aligned with product mix requirements.
• 4. Support engineering and customer sample builds.

B. Logistics Coordination

• 1. Coordinate new material setup upon notification from project leader.
• 2. Ensure timely and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.

C. Inventory Management

• 1. Conduct monthly inventory reviews.
• 2. Identify unhealthy inventory categories and define corrective actions.
• 3. Review fallout inventory and schedule production for retest.
• 4. For blocked & RMA stock due to quality issues, follow up with Quality and Engineering teams for disposition, if approved for retest, schedule rework PO to production.

D. Operational Issue Management

• 1. Monitor WIP movement and FG supply status with line steering to ensure reliable FG commitment.
• 2. Trigger early warnings to OM planners if FG supply is insufficient based on defined escalation level criteria, clarify urgent topics and provide prompt status updates.
• 3. Coordinate new product ramp-up activities, work closely with R&D, NPI, and Production teams to ensure reliable sample commitments.
• 4. Act as the primary contact for Launch Support Management (LSM) team.
