Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a technical lead to act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, clients, software and robotics teams. You will own the product backlog, design end-to-end architectures, perform feasibility studies, and coordinate PoCs for architecture and hardware integration.

The role requires hands-on development experience with Python, Flutter/Dart, React, and cloud/AWS infrastructure, plus strong knowledge of Linux, databases, and ROS/ROS2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, CS, Mechatronics, Robotics, IT, or related field.
• Approximately 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong SDLC, agile delivery, APIs, databases, networking, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Linux/Ubuntu experience; able to configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based apps and edge environments.
• Hands-on with Python and frontend tech such as Flutter/Dart and React.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB including schema/data-model design.
• Experience with AWS (EC2, Docker, Nginx, SSL, deployment, monitoring).
• Experience with edge computing, IoT, robotics, or hardware-software integration preferred.
• Ability to translate operational workflows into practical user interfaces (wireframes/mockups with Figma).
• GIT/GitHub and Power Automate familiarity via Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, clients, development, robotics and hardware teams, and suppliers.
• Own product backlog and technical priorities across multiple projects.
• Design end-to-end solution architecture across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud, and hardware interfaces.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technology evaluations to recommend approaches.
• Develop or coordinate PoCs to validate architecture, APIs, and hardware integration.
• Convert PoCs into structured development tasks and guide implementation.
• Contribute hands-on to software development and troubleshooting (Python, Flutter/Dart, React).
• Design and support dashboards, mobile/web interfaces, and HMIs using Figma.
