As the CTO and Head of Technology, you will define and execute the organization’s technology strategy, overseeing multidisciplinary teams spanning robotics, software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, embedded systems, cloud platforms, and autonomous technologies. You will lead the architecture, development, and deployment of integrated hardware and software solutions, ensuring products are scalable, reliable, and commercially viable. The role requires deep expertise in autonomous systems, perception, navigation, control systems, and AI-driven decision-making. You will work closely with executive leadership, product teams, customers, and investors to transform innovative concepts into market-leading solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the company's technology vision, roadmap, and innovation strategy
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of robotics and autonomous system platforms
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across software, hardware, AI, robotics, and embedded systems
- Drive product architecture decisions for scalable, secure, and production-ready robotic solutions
- Develop autonomous navigation, perception, localization, and control system strategies
- Oversee implementation of Robot Operating System (ROS) and Robot Operating System 2 (ROS2) based architectures
- Guide the development of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), path planning, and autonomous navigation capabilities
- Manage AI and Machine Learning initiatives including edge AI, computer vision, and intelligent decision systems
- Drive cloud-native, SaaS, edge computing, and distributed robotics platform development
- Establish MLOps frameworks to support production-grade AI deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Collaborate with product, operations, and commercial teams to ensure successful field deployments
- Build strategic technology partnerships, vendor relationships, and innovation ecosystems
- Establish engineering best practices, governance frameworks, and operational excellence standards
- Ensure successful delivery of robotics solutions into real-world operational and commercial environments
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, software engineering, robotics, or autonomous systems development
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering, product, or technology teams
- Proven experience delivering commercial robotics, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), or autonomous systems projects
- Deep expertise in Robot Operating System (ROS) and ROS2 environments
- Strong experience with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technologies
- Expertise in autonomous perception, planning, navigation, and control systems
- Hands-on experience with LiDAR, Radar, Computer Vision, sensor fusion, and environmental perception technologies
- Strong understanding of Embedded Systems, real-time computing, and edge devices
- Experience designing and deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Edge Computing architectures
- Experience implementing MLOps practices for production AI systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and large-scale platform development
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record of delivering complex hardware and software solutions into operational environments
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and industrial robotics systems
- Knowledge of digital twins, robotic simulation platforms, and reinforcement learning
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, and accelerated AI computing platforms
- Familiarity with safety-critical systems and autonomous vehicle regulations
- Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams
