Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking a Senior Software Developer (System Integration) based in Penang, Malaysia. You will drive the full lifecycle of web and desktop app integration, collaborating with global teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in semiconductor/software development, strong Java/J2EE and microservices skills, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and GenAI-enabled tool integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor and software development.
• Proven experience in system integration and microservices development; Kubernetes and Docker experience.
• Proficiency in JAVA, J2EE, JDBC, EJB, JPA/Hibernate, Spring Boot, Angular/JS, HTML/CSS; led scalable dashboard on WebLogic/WildFly.
• Web services & APIs: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML/XSD.
• Source control: Git, GitLab.
• Build & Deployment: Ant, Maven, Jenkins.
• Database knowledge: PL/SQL and Oracle.
• Agentic AI: hands-on experience with AI agents, tool integration, workflow automation, and human oversight.
