Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong C# / .NET and desktop application experience, ideally WPF.
• Experience with certified, regulated or safety-related products.
• Strong software architecture, security, Git and testing practices.
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Own the software architecture, data models, file formats, versioning and compatibility.
• Build robust applications using C# and modern .NET.
• Implement PKI, certificates, TLS/mTLS, credential storage and secure updates.
• Drive code review, automated testing, release management and requirements traceability.
• Produce verification evidence for third-party evaluation and certification.
• Collaborate with product, hardware and external engineering partners.
• Help establish engineering standards and best practices for a growing new division.

Senior Software Developer / Software Development Manager – Fire Protection Systems

We are looking for a senior, hands-on software engineer to lead the architecture, technical direction and engineering quality of software used in certified life-safety and fire detection systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established European company with an international team while helping build a new division in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You’ll work with colleagues and partners across Europe and Asia on an innovative product platform where software quality, security and reliability are critical.

A key part of the role will be working closely with engineering partners in China, so professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the software architecture, data models, file formats, versioning and compatibility

• Build robust applications using C# and modern .NET

• Implement PKI, certificates, TLS/mTLS, credential storage and secure updates

• Drive code review, automated testing, release management and requirements traceability

• Produce verification evidence for third-party evaluation and certification

• Collaborate with product, hardware and external engineering partners

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese

Experience with embedded systems, industrial protocols, IEC 61508 / IEC 62304 / UL 1998, databases or desktop deployment is advantageous.
