Job summary
Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior, hands-on software engineer to lead architecture and engineering quality for certified life-safety systems. This role involves shaping a new division and collaborating with colleagues across Europe and Asia, with Mandarin proficiency essential.
You will drive software architecture, security practices, and release management while engaging with product, hardware, and partners to deliver a reliable, standards-compliant platform.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong C# / .NET and desktop application experience, ideally WPF.
- Experience with certified, regulated or safety-related products.
- Strong software architecture, security, Git and testing practices.
- Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Responsibilities
- Own the software architecture, data models, file formats, versioning and compatibility.
- Build robust applications using C# and modern .NET.
- Implement PKI, certificates, TLS/mTLS, credential storage and secure updates.
- Drive code review, automated testing, release management and requirements traceability.
- Produce verification evidence for third-party evaluation and certification.
- Collaborate with product, hardware and external engineering partners.
- Help establish engineering standards and best practices for a growing new division.
