Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team at our Rawang, Selangor office. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role within our software development department. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions whilst mentoring junior team members. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as you will drive the technical excellence and innovation that underpins our product offerings and client deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications and systems utilising modern programming languages and frameworks
• Lead the technical architecture and design of software solutions to meet business requirements and scalability needs
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and establish coding standards to ensure code quality and consistency across the team
• Mentor and support junior software engineers, fostering their professional development and technical growth
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, systems engineers, and quality assurance specialists to deliver integrated solutions
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex software issues and bugs in production and development environments
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending adoption where appropriate
• Document technical specifications, architecture decisions, and implementation details to maintain knowledge repositories

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 7-10 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or lead technical role
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages such as MCU Fundamental,C++, Java, Python, or C#
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and software architecture principles
• Experience with version control systems, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and agile development methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor team members, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through complex technical challenges independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of software testing practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and test automation
• Experience with database design and SQL is highly desirable
• Familiarity with embedded systems, electronics, or IoT development would be advantageous
