Job summary

BP PLC is seeking an Operational Security Management Lead (SOC / Cyber Incident Response) in Kuala Lumpur. The role combines office and remote work and focuses on protecting BP's information assets across the Asia region, leading incident response and risk-based security enhancements.

You will drive incident investigations, implement robust frameworks, and mentor teams across governance, risk and compliance, and forensics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Operational Security Management roles within large organisations.
• Experience in incident investigation and resolution and in Incident Management.
• Knowledge of Information Assurance principles and best practices.
• Ability to influence security behaviour and drive cultural change.
• Experience with supplier relationship management and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operational security posture for BP Asia, ensuring policy alignment.
• Drive incident investigation and resolution with timely remediation.
• Develop and implement robust Incident Management frameworks and procedures.
• Provide guidance on information security best practices and risk mitigation.
• Lead Information Assurance activities ensuring integrity, confidentiality and availability.
• Promote information security awareness and positive security behaviour.
• Conduct comprehensive Risk Management identifying, assessing and mitigating risks.
• Engage stakeholders and maintain relationships with internal teams and partners.
• Oversee supplier security management programs and vendor security practices.
