Job summary

Businesslist is seeking a seasoned sales leader to drive growth in the SME segment across Malaysia. You will own lead generation, manage full sales cycles from outreach to closing, and mentor a high-performing team while building strong relationships with business owners and partners.

The role requires 8+ years in sales/business development with leadership exposure, a relevant degree, and willingness to travel nationwide. fintech/SaaS exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of sales or business development experience with leadership exposure for Manager level.
• Experience engaging SMEs is highly preferred.
• Exposure to fintech, SaaS, digital solutions, or financial services sales is advantageous.
• Proven ability to generate leads, negotiate, and close deals.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel across Malaysia.
• Mandarin-speaking (verbal communication proficiency).

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the SME segment.
• Conduct prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from outreach and presentations to negotiations and closing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, partners, and key decision-makers.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth targets.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and monitor sales performance metrics.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and operational processes.
• Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking sessions to generate business opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop sales team members while driving overall team performance.
• Travel across Malaysia to meet clients and expand market presence.
