Job summary

Vision Brite Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a competent M&E Lead/Project Manager to oversee end-to-end M&E works on site in Malaysia. You will coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

The role requires reviewing drawings and submissions, managing RFIs, progress planning, and leading testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage M&E works from planning and design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate M&E services with consultants, clients, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, technical submissions, material submissions, method statements, and project documentation.
• Monitor site installation to ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, relevant standards, and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, site constraints, and M&E coordination clashes.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, technical clarifications, variation works, and other technical correspondence.
• Plan and monitor M&E work progress, manpower, materials, and construction activities to meet project schedules.
• Lead inspections, testing, commissioning, and rectification works for M&E systems.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure proper inspection, testing, and documentation of M&E works.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Attend site, technical, coordination, and progress meetings and provide timely technical updates.
• Ensure proper preparation and submission of as-built drawings, testing & commissioning records, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
• Strong technical knowledge of M&E building services and construction practices.
• Ability to independently manage M&E works and resolve site technical issues.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Good understanding of project scheduling, construction sequence, and site coordination.
• Able to lead and coordinate multiple M&E disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude with strong ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
