Job summary

EdgeConneX Malaysia is seeking a Security Operations Manager to oversee contract guard operations across KL Cyberjaya, JB campuses and the corporate office, with a hybrid work model. You will manage vendor performance, conduct audits, and coordinate with Operations, Facilities, IT and customer security teams to uphold security standards.

The role requires 5+ years in corporate physical security, experience with critical infrastructure, and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in security field.
• 5+ years in corporate physical security or related roles.
• 2+ years in critical infrastructure security.
• Experience managing outsourced security vendors and SLAs.
• Experience with security audits and certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
• ASIS/PSP certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract guard vendors and post orders.
• Conduct site audits and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Manage vendor escalations and staffing quality.
• Support incident triage, escalation, and reporting.
• Support adherence to security standards and procedures.
• Use trends to reduce repeat issues and improve consistency.
• Coordinate with internal teams and integrators on security systems.
• Liaise with customer security teams on issues and reporting.
• Support audits and evidence collection with closure.
• Travel up to 35% within Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
