Job summary

Experian Marketing Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support project teams by resolving security issues and driving milestones. You will report to the Security Operations Manager and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to balance security with project goals.

The role requires 3+ years across UNIX, Windows, and Linux, plus hands-on experience with security controls, risk analysis, and policy development. Hybrid work arrangement offered in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience across UNIX, Windows, and Linux and IP security environments.
• Experience with information security risk analysis and periodic information system activity reviews.
• Multi-platform knowledge including firewalls, IDS, incident response, policy writing, vulnerability testing, OS hardening, and data classification.
• Experience architecting and implementing security solutions, policies, and technologies for transactional websites.
• Understanding of PCI-DSS, ISO27001, and NIST security standards.
• Ability to monitor advancements in information security technologies including Imperva WAF, VPN, End Point Response, Password Management, and web proxy.
• Ability to liaise with business partners and vendors during tenders/audits for security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to resolve security-related challenges and help achieve milestones.
• Identify security issues that arise during project execution.
• Develop and implement risk-based solutions to unblock activities impacted by security constraints.
• Advise on security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Balance security requirements with operational and project needs in collaboration with partners.
• Stay updated on latest threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies relevant to the project environment.
