Job summary

Westernacher Consulting is seeking a Senior SAP Project Manager to lead strategic transformation programs across local, regional, and global engagements in Malaysia.

You will direct planning, budgeting, and governance while coordinating cross-functional teams of SAP consultants and vendors to deliver complex SAP IBP projects on time and within scope. This role requires strong stakeholder management and a track record of successful delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience.
• Strong SAP IBP knowledge: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Response & Supply, and Control Tower.
• Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 preferred; SAP Activate experience is a plus.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP projects aligned with business goals and timelines.
• Manage cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders, SAP consultants, and third-party vendors.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation.

• Oversee data migration, system integration, testing, and user training activities.
• Ensure governance and change management practices are followed.
• Monitor KPIs and report status to executive leadership.
• Resolve issues and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery.

Lead Large-Scale Business Transformation with a Global SAP Leader

As we continue to strengthen our team in Malaysia, we are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Project Manager to lead strategic transformation programs and drive successful project delivery across local, regional, and global engagements.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the SAP project, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
• Manage cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders, SAP consultants, and third-party vendors.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and drive consensus.
• Oversee data migration, system integration, testing, and user training activities.
• Ensure compliance with organizational change management protocols and governance frameworks.
• Monitor project performance using KPIs and provide regular status updates to executive leadership.
• Resolve project issues and lift critical risks as needed to ensure successful delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of project management experience.
• Strong understanding of SAP IBP modules: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Response & Supply, and Control Tower.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies & understanding of SAP Activate methodology.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead global teams and manage multicultural dynamics.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP supply chain solutions.
• Experience in manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).
