Job summary

SD Guthrie International is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead and enhance the Group Risk Management function. You will review policies, develop risk frameworks, and coordinate risk registers across the group, ensuring timely updates and effective risk treatment.

You will build a risk-aware culture through training, manage BCM planning and testing, and provide insightful reports to senior management and the board. A senior candidate with 10–12 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/ Business Administration or related disciplines.
• 10–12 years working experience with at least 6 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in Plantation Industry (upstream or downstream) is an added advantage.
• Experience in implementing risk management frameworks is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review and enhance risk management roadmap, policy, framework, and methodology.
• Provide ongoing education and briefing to foster a risk-aware culture.
• Coordinate quarterly risk register updates and risk reviews.
• Lead annual risk register reviews with owners and senior management.
• Coordinate top-down risk reviews periodically with owners and status of risk treatment plans.
• Participate in Process Improvement / CAPEX / Investment risk assessments with project teams.
• Assist with remediation strategies and implementation of improvements.
• Advise senior management on risk-related issues as they arise.
• Investigate emerging risks and trends and report to management.
• Lead the establishment and coordination of Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Prepare reports for Board, Senior Management and stakeholders.
