Job summary

TG Malaysia in Penang is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer – Analog Layout (RF) to lead RF layout efforts, collaborate with RF circuit designers, and drive layout productivity. The role requires hands-on experience in RF/Analog layout from scratch, submicron CMOS tech, and use of Cadence Virtuoso-VXL and Mentor Calibre.

Hybrid work arrangement, basic salary up to RM15,000 plus benefits and allowances, with opportunities to mentor juniors and influence project schedules.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of RF Layout/ RF Analog Layout experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in RF/Analog Layout from scratch.
• Experience with IR Drop / EM Analysis.
• Deep understanding of RF/Analog layout in submicron CMOS technologies.
• Experience with RF Transmitter/Receiver and PLL subsystems layout and verification.
• Strong knowledge of matching, parasitic reduction, ESD and DFM.
• Lead IP Layouts and drive layout productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RF circuit designers to iterate layouts and meet performance.
• Perform layout and verification using Cadence Virtuoso-VXL and Mentor Calibre.
• Lead RF layout design including floor planning, routing, and violations resolution.
• Lead RF layout projects and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Conduct layout design reviews with RF circuit designers.
• Plan project schedules and assign tasks to team members.
• Guide junior engineers to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
