Job summary

TG Malaysia is seeking a Staff Engineer – Analog Layout on Penang Island, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on designing and verifying analog layouts using Cadence Virtuoso-VXL, leading floor planning, routing, and design reviews to ensure high quality deliverables.

The candidate will guide junior engineers, manage project schedules, and work across circuits to push productivity and process improvements in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, microelectronics or electrical engineering.
• >5 years of analog layout experience required.
• Hands-on experience in analog layout from scratch and IR drop/EM analysis.
• Strong understanding of analog layout concepts in submicron CMOS.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analog circuit block, subsystem and top-level layout and verification using Cadence Virtuoso-VXL.
• Lead/co-lead layout design including floor planning, routing and layout verification.
• Conduct layout design reviews with circuit designers and external teams.
• Plan project schedule and distribute tasks to team members.
• Coach junior engineers to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
