Job summary

Astro Holdings Berhad is seeking an experienced AVP, Rewards to design, govern, and optimise the organisation's total rewards strategy. You will lead compensation cycles, incentive programs, and job evaluation while partnering with HR to drive performance analytics and data-driven reward decisions.

The role focuses on market-leading reward frameworks, LTIPs, and flexible benefits, with a strong emphasis on governance, transparency, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Total Rewards and Performance Management experience.
• Experience with job evaluation, job leveling and compensation frameworks.
• Experience designing LTIPs and broad-based variable pay programs.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills; proficient in compensation analytics tools.
• Knowledge of agile rewards, skills-based pay, and flexible benefits.
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear communication of complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Design, govern, and implement total rewards strategy including base pay, variable pay, long-term incentives, and benefits.
• Execute annual compensation cycles including salary review, bonus, and incentive programs; support calibration sessions to ensure fairness and internal equity.
• Conduct and manage job evaluation (e.g., Mercer, HAY, Towers Watson), job levelling exercises, and internal career architecture reviews.
• Develop analytics tools, frameworks, and dashboards to drive transparent, outcomes-based rewards decisions.
• Lead or support strategic reward projects including long-term incentive program redesigns and digital enablement of reward processes.
