Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Resident Engineer in Malaysia.

The Resident Engineer will manage electrical works in the manufacturing plant, ensuring equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness, while supporting production and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience supervising or leading maintenance technicians.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute preventive maintenance for process equipment and utilities.
• Document and manage problem records.
• Propose repairs, spare parts, and third-party maintenance requisitions.
• Suggest yearly budgets for repair, maintenance and parts.
• Recruit, interview, train, and coach maintenance staff.
• Provide recommendations on electrical and machinery issues.
• Lead continuous improvement programmes.
• Oversee machine installation, commissioning, and data collection.
• Coordinate with local and overseas vendors to resolve production issues.
• Support production as needed.
