Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Senior Regulatory & Compliance Engineer to lead technical activities for the design, manufacture, modification, and certification of industrial control panels and semiconductor equipment.

The role oversees UL 508A panels, SEMI standards, and product compliance with NFPA, IEC, CSA, CE/UKCA, RoHS and REACH. Travel about 15–25% is expected, and strong English documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
• 5+ years of UL 508A experience for panel design, review, construction, inspection or certification.
• Strong knowledge of UL 508A, SCCR and Supplement SB.
• Experience with electrical controls, industrial automation or semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with certification bodies, testing laboratories, auditors or inspectors.
• Working knowledge of SEMI S2/S8/S10/S22, NFPA 79 and IEC 60204-1 is desirable.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001 and change/corrective-action processes.
• Strong English communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for design, manufacturing, modification, and certification of industrial control panels and semiconductor equipment.
• Serve as SME for UL 508A industrial control panels.
• Review schematics, BOMs, wiring, and panel construction requirements.
• Support UL-listed panel-shop activities, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Apply SEMI safety standards to semiconductor equipment.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, IEC, CSA, CE/UKCA, RoHS and REACH.
