Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Senior Regulatory and Compliance Engineer to provide expert UL 508A leadership for industrial control panels and semiconductor equipment. The role collaborates across design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.

You will support SEMI safety guidelines, ISO management systems, and product-certification deliverables, with global scope across Penang/Batu Kawan or Guadalajara. Strong documentation and audit skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience in product safety and regulatory compliance.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on UL 508A experience with design and certification of industrial control panels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with SEMI, ISO management systems, and product-certification processes.
• Ability to lead cross-functional regulatory initiatives and audits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Jabil’s UL 508A technical SME for industrial control-panel design and manufacturing compliance.
• Apply UL 508A requirements to electrical schematics, layouts, BOMs, wiring, protection, enclosures, markings, and production processes.
• Determine and document short-circuit-current ratings and evaluate component substitutions.
• Collaborate with UL Solutions, other labs, inspectors, and customers to resolve findings and ensure compliance.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for customer acceptance and SEMI evaluations.
• Coordinate compliance testing and certification activities with qualified laboratories and certification bodies.
