Sime Darby Property is seeking a seasoned investment professional to support origination, evaluation and structuring of real estate investments, including funds and co‑investments, in Malaysia. You will manage due diligence, financial modelling and deal execution, while coordinating with legal, tax and fundraising teams.

The role emphasizes strong investor communication, collaboration across departments and governance in fund management, with a focus on delivering value across SDP's portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or equivalent.
• A professional certification in Real Estate, Accounting or Finance (e.g. CFA, CAIA, ACCA, CA, ICAEW, registered valuer) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in financial modelling

Responsibilities

• Origination & investments: Lead or support origination activities, sourcing investment opportunities and expanding SDP's domestic and international investor base.
• Fund formation & capital raising: Support structuring and establishment of real estate funds, including term sheets, partnership agreements, information memoranda and fundraising materials.
• Financial analysis & approvals: Build/review financial models (DCF, IRR, land development models) and prepare investment approval papers.
• Monitoring & compliance: Monitor investment performance and ensure compliance with investment standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder management: Manage relationships with investors, JV partners, regulators and external advisers; mentor junior staff.
