Job summary

FFM Berhad is seeking an experienced Product Development professional to drive end-to-end development from concept to commercialization in the food industry. The role requires leadership in R&D, strong regulatory knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality, safety, and market success.

You will lead cost optimization, participate in sensory evaluations and shelf-life studies, and maintain comprehensive technical records and regulatory files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related food science field.
• Strong knowledge of food chemistry and processing technologies.
• Experience with quality, regulatory and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, FSSC, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years in food product development or R&D; 3–5 years in leadership within R&D.

Responsibilities

• Support the R&D Manager in end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization.
• Lead cost optimization and product/process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in product performance trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies.
• Maintain technical records, formulations, test data, specifications and regulatory files.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth launches and compliance.
• Act as deputy to the R&D Manager when required.
