Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years in R&D within the food manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience in food product formulation and new product development.
• Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal requirements, Food Act, Food Regulations and Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage new product development projects from concept to commercial launch.
• Develop and improve food formulations, recipes and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct laboratory testing, pilot trials, shelf-life studies and scale-up activities.
• Perform product benchmarking, market research and trend analysis for opportunities.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Procurement, Sales and Marketing to ensure launches.
• Evaluate and approve new raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials.
• Troubleshoot quality and process issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, Halal and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical docs, product specs, SOPs and development reports.

Senior R&D Executive (Food Manufacturing)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior R&D Executive to join our growing food manufacturing team. You will be responsible for leading new product development initiatives, improving existing products, and driving innovation to meet market trends and customer requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality food products from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage new product development (NPD) projects from concept, formulation, trial production, to commercial launch.

Develop and improve food formulations, recipes, and manufacturing processes.

Conduct laboratory testing, pilot trials, shelf-life studies, and production scale-up activities.

Perform product benchmarking, market research, and trend analysis to identify new business opportunities.

Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure successful product launches.

Evaluate and approve new raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.

Troubleshoot product quality and process-related issues and propose effective solutions.

Ensure compliance with Food Safety standards, GMP, HACCP, Halal requirements, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare technical documentation, product specifications, SOPs, and development reports.

Provide technical support to internal departments and customers when required.

Mentor and guide junior R&D personnel in product development activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related disciplines.

Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in Research & Development within the Food Manufacturing Industry.

Hands-on experience in food product formulation and new product development.

Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal requirements, Food Act, Food Regulations, and Food Safety standards.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project timelines.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
