Job summary

Jotun Paints (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. invites a dedicated R&D Senior Chemist to join the Protective team in Shah Alam. You will develop new products, improve existing formulations and tackle technical challenges in coatings across the SEAP region.

The role reports to the Regional R&D Manager – Marine and Protective SEAP and emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, use of analytical techniques, and continuous professional development in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering).
• Experience in coatings industry and data analysis desired.
• Proficiency with statistical tools and reporting methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, formulate, test and evaluate coating formulations.
• Present findings clearly to stakeholders and collaborators.
• Apply statistics and DOE concepts to design of experiments and analyze results.
• Support cross-regional projects and improve lab operations and safety.
