Job summary

121 Tech Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for interior design and fit-out projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead costing, budgeting, tender submissions, procurement, and final accounts across multiple commercial spaces from pre-contract to handover.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of QS experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read architectural drawings. This full-time on-site role offers a competitive salary and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience in Interior Design / Fit-Out projects is highly preferred.
• Commercial project experience in retail, F&B, office or hospitality is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of costing, tendering, procurement, VO, claims and contract administration.
• Able to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Responsible, detail-oriented and commercially driven.

Responsibilities

• Lead project costing, budgeting and commercial management.
• Prepare and review BQ, quotations and tender submissions.
• Conduct quantity take-off and cost analysis from drawings.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage project procurement and subcontractor appointments.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and profitability.
• Prepare and manage Variation Orders (VO), progress claims and final accounts.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations, claims and final accounts.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with design, project and site teams on commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate cost reports and commercial documentation.
• Manage multiple projects independently from pre-contract to final account.
