Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline from a recognised institution.
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and BIM tools.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement procedures, and contractual law.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with Malaysian construction standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets from design to completion.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material quantification from drawings.
• Manage project budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Prepare tender documents and bills of quantities.
• Evaluate tender submissions and advise on contractor selection.
• Administer contracts and manage variations and change orders.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress per specs.
• Prepare interim valuations and payment certificates.
• Maintain project records and documentation for audit.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients on cost issues.
• Provide financial forecasting and cost reporting to management.
