Job summary

Acre Works Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects in Malaysia, ensuring cost control, accurate budgeting, contract administration and timely valuation from start to final account.

You will lead tender take-off, prepare Bills of Quantities, analyse quotations, manage progress claims, EOTs and variation orders, administer contracts, and coordinate with Procurement, Finance and site teams to safeguard

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications, lead quantity take-off, cost estimation, and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ)
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations, participate in tender pricing strategy, value engineering, and contract negotiation
• Administer contracts, prepare progress claims, evaluate subcontractor claims, monitor project cost, variation orders and budget performance
• Handle Extension of Time (EOT), Loss & Expense claims, final accounts and subcontract agreements, ensure compliance with contractual terms
• Advise on contractual rights, obligations and risk mitigation; manage correspondence and documentation, support dispute resolution
• Ensure all Quantity Survey processes comply with company procedures, ISO standards and project requirements, support audits
• Act as central contact for project contracts, coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Project, HR, and site teams for document alignment
• Understand, apply, and comply with anti-bribery & corruption policies and report violations through whistleblowing channels
• Contribute to continuous improvement of contracts systems, digitalization of documentation, training, and efficient record management

Job description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing and overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects of a construction project, ensuring effective cost control, accurate budgeting, proper contract administration and timely valuation of works to achieve financial efficiency and protect the company's commercial interests from project commencement through to final account settlement.
