Job summary

ASMPT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a quality engineer to develop, implement and review quality standards, control plans, PFMEA and testing procedures for new and existing equipment.

You will lead product and process risk analyses, ensure proper validation, plan internal process audits, and drive continuous improvement through KPIs and RCA. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, 5+ years in machining/semiconductor manufacturing, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in machining, fabrication, assembly and semiconductor manufacturing or equipment.
• Knowledge in Quality Control Tools, Risk Assessment, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Six Sigma, ISO 9001.
• Strong project management and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; familiarity with cleanrooms and high-tech equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review quality standards, control plans, PFMEA and testing procedures for new and existing equipment.
• Lead product and process risk analysis and mitigation with design and process teams.
• Ensure acceptance methodologies and validation/testing requirements are documented and maintained.
• Plan and perform internal process audits for compliance.
• Monitor KPIs, perform RCA, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead failure analysis and MRB, implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Process Engineering, Production and sister plants.
• Act as liaison to ensure quality requirements are understood and implemented.
