Job summary

Humanetics Precision Metal Fabrication (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee incoming, in-process and final inspection according to customer specs and drawings. You will work with Production and Engineering to resolve issues and implement preventive actions.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in quality/manufacturing engineering with at least 5 years in sheet metal QC, and hands-on experience with 8D, RCCA, CAPA, PFMEA, SPC and 7 QC Tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering experience in the sheet metal manufacturing industry.
• Sheet metal manufacturing experience is required.
• Strong experience in 8D, RCCA, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis and 7 QC Tools.
• Good knowledge of SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans and Process Flow.
• Experience handling customer quality issues and complaints.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and measurement tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good command of English.
• Able to work independently and lead quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming, in-process and final inspection according to customer specifications and drawings.
• Handle customer complaints, quality issues and non-conformances, including investigation and closure.
• Prepare 8D reports, and corrective action reports.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans, Process Flow, inspection checklists and sampling plans.
• Conduct and participate in PFMEA and identify preventive actions.
• Apply 7 QC Tools, SPC and other quality tools to monitor and improve process quality.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Support ISO 9001 documentation, audits and quality system requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, scrap, rework and customer complaints.
• Train operators on inspection standards, defect identification and measurement techniques.
• Handle MRB and non-conforming products and follow up on corrective actions.
