Job summary

Season Malaysia Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior/Quality Engineer specializing in Thermo Vacuum Forming and Plastic Injection Molding. You will monitor and drive quality control in manufacturing, ensuring products meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities include leading CAR closures, conducting root-cause analysis, implementing QC plans for new products, and performing First Article inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in plastic or mechanical parts industries (e.g., injection molding).
• Experience in Aerospace or AS9102 FAIR is advantageous.
• Proficient in QC tools and GD&T; knowledge of 8D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee manufacturing QC activities to ensure conformance with customer requirements.
• Drive CAR/CCAR/ICAR closures for quality incidences.
• Lead investigations into non-conformances and perform risk assessments with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and implement QC plans for new products including measurement methods/tools.
• Perform FAI inspections and compile FAIRs; log in Net Inspect when needed.
• Review RMAs and ensure close-loop resolution; engage with customers for improvements.
• Report weekly/monthly/quarterly Quality KPI metrics.

Senior/Quality Engineer (Thermo Vacuum Forming/ Plastic Injection Molding)

Responsible to monitor and oversee manufacturing Quality Control activities to ensure manufacturing process is carried out under control and product produced is conforming to customer's requirement.

Responsibilities

Support internal and external audits including but not limited to customer, certification bodies and regulatory

Accountable for issuance and driving CAR (CCAR and ICAR) closure for external and internal quality incidences

Investigate and resolve non-conformances and as appropriate lead in the completion of risk assessment with cross functional team

Develop and implement Quality Control plan for New Product to ensure compliance to customer quality requirements; that includes measurement methods and measurement tools

Perform First Article inspection and compile FAIR for new products

Familiar in using Net Inspect for First Article Inspection Report log in

Review customer RMA request, coordinate and ensure RMA process close loop

Engagement with customer on continuous improvement as and when require

Proficient with reporting and publishing weekly, monthly and quarterly Quality KPI metrics

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Scope of Authority

Control of issuance of Certificate of Conformance for every shipment.

Buyoff and provide acceptance on FAI products release for shipment

Control of issuance and closure of NCR notice, CCAR and ICAR for in-process, outgoing and customer complaint non-conformance.

Determine validity of RMA request and responsible for RMA process closure.

Issuance of Stop shipment request in event of quality risk impact to customer

Requirements

Education Level: Minimum Degree holder in Science or Engineering related disciplines

Experience: Minimum 3 years preferably in Plastic or mechanical parts related industries eg: Metal precision, injection molding

Advantage to have experience in Aerospace related industries and compilation of AS9102 FAIR

Skillset: Quality control tools & experience in Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing.

Knowledge in problem solving tools and 8D is preferred.
