Job summary

Michael Page Malaysia is seeking a senior contamination control specialist for our client in the advanced electronics sector. The role leads FM management systems, drives contamination control programs, and partners across Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance and Facilities to meet quality and yield targets.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cleanroom operations, HVAC systems, ISO 14644, and data-driven problem solving, with 5–8 years of related experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
• 5–8 years in contamination control or cleanroom quality environments
• Experience in IC substrates, HDI PCB, semiconductor packaging or related industries
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14644 cleanroom standards
• Hands-on understanding of HVAC, filtration tech and particle monitoring systems
• Expertise in SPC, DOE, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans and root cause analysis
• Excellent analytical and cross-functional stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the FM Management System and contamination control programs
• Develop and execute yield improvement roadmaps with process owners
• Drive contamination control projects across Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance and Facilities
• Monitor FM-related production data and implement corrective actions
• Conduct FM investigations, root cause analysis and preventive actions
• Perform cleanroom audits, risk assessments, line walks and compliance evaluations
• Support new equipment installations, facility modifications and cleanroom expansion
• Collaborate with Facilities on HVAC performance and air particle monitoring
• Support internal, supplier, and customer quality audits and investigations
• Train and mentor FM coordinators and new staff on best practices

Job Description

• Lead and continuously improve the Foreign Material (FM) Management System and contamination control programmes.
• Develop and execute yield improvement roadmaps with process owners to achieve quality and operational targets.

• Conduct FM investigations, root cause analysis, and preventive improvement initiatives.
• Perform cleanroom audits, risk assessments, line walks, and compliance evaluations.
• Support new equipment installations, facility modifications, and cleanroom expansion projects.
• Collaborate with Facilities teams on HVAC performance, air particle monitoring, and cleanroom effectiveness.
• Support internal, supplier, and customer audits and quality investigations.
• Train, mentor, and qualify FM coordinators and new employees on best practices and standards.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Materials Science, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in contamination control, cleanroom operations, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality environments.
• Experience within IC Substrates, HDI PCB, Semiconductor Packaging, Electronics Manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14644 cleanroom standards.
• Hands-on understanding of HVAC systems, filtration technologies, and particle monitoring systems.
• Expertise in SPC, DOE, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
