Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Foreign Material Quality Engineer to prevent contamination in cleanroom manufacturing, lead investigations, and drive CAPA to ensure products meet quality and customer requirements.

The role collaborates with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supplier Quality, performs risk assessments, supports audits, and provides training on contamination awareness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience in contamination control, defect reduction, and problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; capable of leading CAPA and improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations of foreign material and contamination-related incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Monitor and improve contamination control practices in cleanroom operations.
  • Perform risk assessments on materials, equipment, processes, and manufacturing environments.
  • Support cleanroom audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supplier Quality teams to eliminate contamination sources.

The Foreign Material Quality Engineer is responsible for preventing, investigating, and reducing contamination risks in cleanroom manufacturing processes. This role ensures products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and cleanroom contamination control requirements through effective monitoring, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement activities.

Job Summary

The Foreign Material Quality Engineer is responsible for preventing, investigating, and reducing contamination risks in cleanroom manufacturing processes. This role ensures products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and cleanroom contamination control requirements through effective monitoring, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead investigations of foreign material and contamination-related incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor and improve contamination control practices within cleanroom operations.
  • Perform risk assessments on materials, equipment, processes, and manufacturing environments.
  • Support cleanroom audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Analyze quality data, defect trends, and customer complaints to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supplier Quality teams to eliminate contamination sources.
  • Review and update contamination control procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Conduct employee training on contamination awareness and cleanroom best practices.
  • Support customer audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality within a cleanroom environment.
  • Experience in contamination control, defect reduction, and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, FMEA, and Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Semiconductor, Medical Device, Electronics, or Precision Manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, or relevant quality standards.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent quality certification.
  • Familiarity with particle monitoring, cleanroom protocols, and contamination control methodologies
